In the SHADE artwork, the historical photography phenomenon camera obscura is combined with beautiful Finnish nature.
At the same time, the artwork reminds of both the importance of nature’s permanence and its importance as an element which increases everyday wellbeing, and of the estranged relationship between man and nature.
SHADE brings a Finnish cottage environment and forest nature to a modern urban environment, thus creating a quiet meditative space on the busy campus.
The artwork is a part of KampusART’s pedagogic programme.
